Hello, my name is Mario, the guy who runs it all. My passion for baking began in high school. Each and every week, I would look forward to my friends trying out my new baked creations. Baking is a lot of work, but I would not trade this enjoyment for anything else.

I attended Stephen F. Austin University, where I obtained my Bachelor of Science in Hospitality. After graduating from college, I knew a continuous focus on perfecting my craft was a path I had to continue on. My first baking position started at Marriott. I learned a lot during my time there, but in 2020, I experienced a bittersweet moment as I decided to part ways and start my own business.

I started Pure Cakery, where I created cakes for any celebration in the Houston surrounding area. I enjoyed connecting with the community and kept a clientele who consistently chose me as their cake maker. I eventually participated in Houston’s local markets, where my passion for baking grew intensely.

Preemo’s Bakeshop began as one of many ideas. The vision was clear to me. Preemo’s is rooted in creativity, tradition, and community.
