Hello, my name is Mario, the guy who runs it all. For as long as I can remember, baking has been my creative outlet, but I have come a long way since the ready-to-bake Betty Crocker mix.

I attended Stephen F. Austin University, where I obtained my Bachelor of Science in Hospitality. After graduating from college, I knew a continuous focus on perfecting my craft was a path I had to continue. My first baking position started at Marriott. I learned a lot during my time there, but I desperately desired more creative freedom.

I started Pure Cakery, which has allowed me to develop the skills to create amazing cakes for different events. I enjoy connecting with the community and have maintained a clientele that has consistently chosen me as their go-to cake maker. While cakes have been my main focus over the years, I have recently decided to expand the business into a mix of pan dulces and uniquely flavored pastries. Baking is a lot of work, but I would not trade this enjoyment for anything else.

Preemo’s Bakeshop began as one of many ideas. The vision was clear to me. Preemo’s is rooted in creativity, tradition, and community.
